In an Industry That Never Sleeps, Learning Never Stops

In an Industry That Never Sleeps, Learning Never Stops  🎬

At D-Dream, we strongly believe in one thing: technology evolves at lightning speed, so our technicians must evolve with it. That’s why we continue to invest in training for our freelancers. This ensures they stay completely up-to-date with the latest tools, systems, and techniques used at events today.

No sooner said than done! In the first quarter of 2026, we immediately organized three training sessions for technicians. Three opportunities to share knowledge, learn new skills, and above all: get a hands-on experience with new equipment. From LED walls to aerial work platforms and a comprehensive video training course.

Our goal? To ensure our crew can tackle every job with confidence.

Building LED Walls Like a Pro  🎛️

The first workshop was led by Frameled, with Bruno and Niels as trainers. The focus was on LED walls and the latest processors. After all, LED walls are getting bigger, more complex and visually more impressive! So, of course, you need them perfectly, especially when it comes to more creative figurations.

This workshop was intended for video technicians who want to work with the latest equipment, but also for all-around technicians who wanted to learn from the ground up how an LED wall is built and programmed. A total of seventeen participant took part in this training.

The day began with a theoretical session at our office in Lokeren. There, we explained how the latest systems work and what possibilities they offer. Then came the best part: rolling up our sleeves! Time for hands-on work in the warehouse.

During the practical session, the participants built various LED wall setups themselves. Not just the classic rectangle but also more creative shapes and combinations. The goal? Not just to display an image, but to deliver a perfectly finished and professional result. And that clearly serves as an inspiration.

Working safely with Aerial work platforms and forklifts  🏗️

The second training session had a very practical goal: learning to work safely with aerial work platforms, forklifts, and telehandlers. These machines are indispensable for many jobs.

The training took place at ROB Rental in Beervelde and was attended by a group of about eight participants. First, they received a theoretical explanation of the three machines and their proper use. Then it was time for the practical session!

Each participant got hands-on experience with various pieces of equipment, such as scissor lifts, telescopic boom lifts, forklifts, and telehandlers. The latter is particularly useful at outdoor events, as it allows you to move materials over uneven terrain and long distances.

At the end of the day, the participants went home with an official certificate. And just as important: with the confidence to use these machines safely on future jobs.

Mastering complex video project with the P20  🎥

The third training session delved even deeper into video technology. The focus here was on the Pixelhue P20, a powerful video system used for complex video setups. Why is such a system necessary? Today’s LED walls have an increasingly finer pixel pitch. As a result, you have to control many more pixels simultaneously. That, in turn, requires more powerful hardware.

With the P20, video technicians can combine various video sources – such as computers, media servers, camera feeds, and presentations – that need to appear simultaneously on multiple screens. Using the software, you can manage all these inputs and combine them into a single visual whole.

This more specialized training course was primarily aimed at experienced video technicians and operators who want to handle complex video projects. The course was taught by Hans Anthuenis, a well established figure in the Belgian video industry. Instead of focusing solely on theory, the group immediately worked on realistic case studies. Setups that are commonly encountered in real-world events were recreated and worked through.

Ready for the future! 🔧

Three training programs, three different topics, one clear mission. We continue to support our freelancers so they can work with the latest equipment! Because whether it’s setting up an LED wall, working safely with an aerial lift, or managing complex video content: we believe that knowledge makes all the difference on the job.

By continuing to invest in training, we ensure that our technicians aren’t just up to speed with the latest technology.💡 They can also put it to use right away on the job. And that’s ultimately what it’s all about.
