CHECKUP Seminar van SecureLink: entertainment in 360°

Een cirkelvormig podium met 360°-projectie, een regietafel met 10 technici om alles feilloos te laten verlopen en een geluidsinstallatie die de presentaties én de verrassingsact van 2Unlimited van de scène deden spatten.

U raadt het al, de tiende editie van het CHECKUP Seminar was meer dan geslaagd, dixit Ellen Le Beer, marketingmanager bij SecureLink, dé cybersecurityspecialisten.

Ellen Le Beer: “CHECKUP is our company’s annual flagship event. We invite our customers to inspiring speeches, demonstrations, and networking. This year’s conference was themed ‘the Unlimited Edition’: everything revolved around innovation, digitization, and the unlimited possibilities of data. It was an impressive edition with over 500 participants. And we owe that in part to the technical experts at D-Dream.”

An audiovisual masterpiece: a circular stage and screen

Ellen Le Beer: “We chose the Nekkerhal in Mechelen as our venue. It’s spacious, easily accessible, and offers plenty of possibilities. There was one major challenge: transforming the terribly bare space into a pleasant and inspiring conference hall. For that, we brought in D-Dream. They helped develop the concept of the circular layout, handled the lighting, sound, and visuals, and managed the entire technical production.” The centerpiece was the massive circular video screen, with the stage below it and seating arranged around it. When viewed from above, the setup formed the SecureLink logo. Furthermore, the screen’s circular design was a nice nod to our “360° Approach to Cyber Security.”

Meticulous technical direction

Pieter Voet, production manager at D-Dream: “360° screens like these aren’t used very often in Belgium. We used the latest systems from Barco and d3. Truly the cream of the crop. It was painstaking work to install the video screens and precisely calibrate the five projectors. After all, the presentations and images had to roll seamlessly and in sync across the curved screens. During the event, ten technicians were constantly on the move, managing the lighting, sound, and projections.”

Ellen Le Beer: “My compliments to your team. I’ll admit I was pretty stressed out leading up to the event. But on the day of the event, everything went like clockwork. Our guests were clearly impressed. CHECKUP 2017 was a huge success!”

Strong in administration and organization

Ellen Le Beer: “If someone asks me if I know a specialist in audiovisual technology, I would definitely recommend D-Dream. Everything was perfect: the room setup, the technology, the timing… Anyone who walked into the room was blown away. What’s more, they’re also strong in administration and organization.
